The Battle High School Peace Pole
With the installation of Battle High School’s very own Peace Pole in 2024, Battle High School joins a movement spreading the universal message May Peace Prevail On
Earth. With over 250,000 poles worldwide, placed in over 180 countries, peace poles are a truly worldwide phenomenon.
But what is a Peace Pole and what does it mean for Battle High School?
A Peace Pole is an internationally recognized symbol of peace, unification, and hope for the entire human race. Every pole bears the message “May Peace Prevail on
Earth” in several different languages as a testament to the unifying mission.
At Battle High School, this pole acts as a reminder to students, faculty, and the greater community around BHS to commit to these values of unity and peace.
Beyond serving as a beacon of peace, Battle High School’s Peace Pole serves as a memorial to BHS
families who have lost lives to violence in our community
The Languages on our pole are all spoken at Battle. They are: English, Mandarin, Arabic, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, Hebrew, and French
